The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will have significant responsibility managing the financial affairs of the company. This position will report to the CEO and is responsible for the day-to-day operation, oversight of various healthcare projects, as well as playing an integral role in the strategic direction, goal setting and performance management of the company. This position will have as direct reports all operational areas including clinical departments, service access, billing, revenue management, coding, professional and hospital billing and collections, customer service, cash management and information systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with Key Personnel to develop strategic plan to advance the mission, vision and values of the company.
- Work closely with the Ministry of Health, vendors and business partners.
- Work closely with the CEO to implement the goals, objectives and strategic plan for the hospital.
- Take a leadership role in the establishment of performance indicators for all hospital functions and monitor performance against operating goals.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the hospital, including service delivery, financial performance, human resources management, contract negotiation, legal and other compliance.
- Serve as a final approval for all hospital procedures, policies and standards.
- Lead capital planning and budget activities.
- Identify, develop, and implement technology to support safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable care of our patients.
- Participate in the integration of business and clinical information systems in all clinics to foster improved revenue cycle performance in a patient centric manner.
- Foster an employee culture that supports the hospital strategy.
- Establish individual performance expectations for direct reports and regularly evaluate their performance against organizational objectives.
- Provide coaching and counselling as necessary and oversee the performance evaluation process for the entire organization.
- Monitor the external environment as it related to the hospital operations to anticipate and adapt to significant change.
- Lead the communication effort bot internally, through active enterprise communication to all employees, as well as through bulletins, organizational announcement and reports.
- Provide timely reports on all financial affairs of the hospital.
- Insure compliance with Saudi Law and Regulations, Royal Decrees and Directives.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
- Oversee and direct all financial functions of the organization.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
The CFO will be a seasoned and mature leader with at least ten (ten) years of broad finance experience, ideally beginning with audit, followed by experience gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership. He/she will ideally have experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control and reporting) for a complex hospital organization with a budget of not less than ten million.
- Minimum of BS; a CPA and/or MBA a plus
- At least five (5) years’ experience as CFO
- Experience in senior financial management, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Budget
- Experience working with information technology staff
- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organizational skills
