Elevator Pitch

A new and the first 350-bed private tertiary care digital hospital in central Bangkok targeting middle to high income earners at the top-tier level.

Designed to be a modern, state-of-the-art facility that integrates and implements the latest in digital and healthcare technology including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cloud-based systems (such as medical records), robotic automatic processes (RAP), and even 3-D printing.

The Problem

A bed supply shortage per 1,000 patients in the top-tier market fails to cover more middle to high-income Thais and medical tourists compared with other developed countries, thereby driving demand for premium hospitals.

There is heightened competition among private hospitals vying for Thai patients here but purchasing power of such patients remains subdued. Although private hospitals have opportunities to expand their customer bases by capturing the growing number of senior citizens, this consumer segment does not have high purchasing power. Therefore, many Thai seniors and low-income earners tend to go to public or government-run hospitals.

The Solution

Currently, there are market opportunities for private hospitals to fill the void created by the inadequacy of public health facilities by providing the needed services. With growing concerns for rising medical costs, the aging population, the increase in lifestyle-related diseases, coupled with factors such as increasing healthcare awareness among the public, medical tourism can help reduce burdens of disease considerably and help people receive timely and appropriate care.

At the top tier level, there is an opportunity for a new 350-bed private tertiary care digital hospital in central Bangkok targeting both domestic and international patients of middle to high income status.
